I decided to read this book because of the hype surrounding it and I hoped it would live up to all of it. In reality, the first half of this book was a slow read, there were days when I didn't even want to open it cause there was nothing pulling me in. I only finished it after 4 weeks cause I wouldn't let myself quit it and skimming through wasn't an option either. In my personal opinion, this book didn't need to be 426 pages. It could've at least been around the 250 pages mark, but she did say she was a detailed person.
I feel I know a lot of facts about her life and even related to her quite a bit, but I also feel like she kept us at arms length. Hopefully that makes sense...
In all honesty, I don't think this was a bad book nor do I think it was badly written. I just think I didn't enjoy it as much because I'm not enamored with Michelle Obama's celebrity.
