The Queen of Nothing (The Folk of the Air, #3)
by
The Queen of nothing was a satisfying conclusion to what I think is one of the most well crafted series in the YA genre. It was focused on character nuances rather than political scheming and grand twists-which we have come to expect with these books. This book was about the character’s overall journey and their progression. The plot was simple, not nearly as sophisticated as TCP or TWK, but the book won me over with its character development. Both Jude and Cardan have come a long way since the first book, and I’m happy to see their story to come to a satisfactory close. Holly Black has done such a magnificent job with this series that I'm afraid, anything she writes in the future won't match up.
