I think me and this author will have to permanently part ways. This is the second book by him I tried, and I couldn't get through either of them.

This is boring. The story flows slower than molasses. In fact, I quit at 30% and we haven't even started with the actual plot of tracking the origin of the footage. Thirty percent spent on pointless self-reflection, descriptions of different places in London, and navel-gazing. I was looking for a book to entertain me, not put me to sleep.

Also, I couldn't care less about the protagonist. She feels less like a person than a walking series of psychological hangups. And even at 30% into the book, I still don't know what her motivation is. What are the stakes for her in this story? I'm too bored to continue reading even if I wanted to find out.
