You know what? It does not matter what you read, what genre or if it's a manga. The only important thing is if you like the story.

And I can tell you that I like Death Note very much to the point where I can say it makes me feel physically good. I feel myself smiling and relaxing; I'm excited to turn the page.
I need more of this in my life.
And what else can I say? I'm so happy that Misa is finally on the scene. I love her chaoticness and childish glee. And do I need to mention that she is my namesake?

Thank you so much, Sara. I had to add it because I had a conversation with someone who told me that comic books are not "real" reading.

And, I don't think she likes Light, she loves Kira. I don't think she sees Light as Light but she has fallen in love with the idea of Kira before meeting him.

I really recommend this one. I read several mangas and this is my favourite so far. Crying Freeman was good as well but Death Note is the best. 😍

Ah, that's such a nice coincidence :) Yeah, I feel the same way too about characters that share the same name as me!
Yeah, her obsession with Light was a bit too much for me. I actually preferred Kiyomi over Misa, but either way, it doesn't matter since Light didn't really care about either of them.

Plus I'm obsessed with Light (okay, maybe more with Mello) as Misa is. 😂
My problem is, I can get Misa doing everything Light tells her. She loves him, she's obsessed with him. Plus she's not the smartest cookie in the jar. But Kiyomi? She's supposed to be smart and she is no better than Misa. Okay, she can talk without Light having to fear that she will say something stupid. But still. Expected more of her. 😂 He suggested something (before she knew he was Kira) and she still did it.

Agreed! Death Note is not really focused on strong female characters. 😂 I personally don't mind it. I don't need a superheroine in everything.
And yes, Naomi was probably the strongest female character in the book. But I hated the way her fiance behaved toward her. So, condescending.

I did not watch the show (if you mean the anime) but from what I read the changes were only minor.

I’ve seen the entire anime twice and absolutely loved it. You should give it a try once you’re done reading these!

Great to hear that. I just might do that... So far, I only watched scenes with Mello on Youtube. 😂
