Hatchet (Brian's Saga, #1)

Hatchet is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The story starts off with the main character brian who goes on an airplane to go see his dad but on the way there the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes leaving brian alone in the wilderness leaving him with the only thing he has which is a hatchet his mom gave him.
The strengths of the book would be it’s not a mile long like other books. It ends the chapter with something that makes you want to read the next chapter. The bad things about the book would be it is kinda repetitive on what he does everyday like he hunts,he goes fishing,he looks for firewood, he makes new things and then goes to sleep, but sometimes he might do something a little different.Hatchet isn’t the only books in the series, there are:The river,Brian’s winter,Brian’s return, and Brian’s hunt which are all alot alike.
I like the book because of the adventure and the amount of suspense in the book and that it isn’t that thick of a book.I don’t really like long, big books with lots of conversation and I like more of the character doing stuff. So I would recommend hatchet to anyone who doesn’t really like big books and likes suspense at the end of chapters.
