I’m still processing. 778 pages is a lot to process, okay?

Alright, an actual review after I've had time to sleep on it and process. This was really a 3.5 book with 4 star moments, hence why it's been rounded up to 4 stars.
For the first two books I hated Grace with a passion. In this last book though...not so much? I never felt sorry for her. But I think she kinda grew into her own. I really enjoyed her interactions with Christopher throughout the series but especially in this book. I loved that he gave her the confidence to be the person he saw she could be. (view spoiler)
In the beginning of this series I really loved James' character and while I still loved him, or at least the idea of him, I found him quite...boring? in this book. The only times I was actually interested in anything James was doing was when he was being the concerned Parabatai to Matthew. Speaking of Matthew, I really loved the way we were shown him dealing with his alcoholism. Of course he tried to deal with it on his own but his friends wouldn't let him, and I loved that. And Oscar! Loved Oscar!
I got equality bored with Cordelia and her whole "woe is me" bit of being Lilith's paladin. (view spoiler) .
Lucie, Lucie, Lucie. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her and Jesse getting to interact, not just themselves but with others too. Jesse truly glowed under Will's praise and it made me so happy. How Lucie's powers evolved in this book was really interesting! The scene with Rupert and Jesse...it was so pure and heartbreaking. And I'm glad someone finally told Tatiana off.
Lucie's revenge story... that was one of those laugh out loud moments. Her story titles are ridiculous and often made me roll my eyes. But then we got a story title at the end that was ridiculously long that Jesse told her she needed to shorten and she "was considering it" but I think the most important part was what was included in that title The Wicked Powers. Any Shadowhunter fan will have sat up at that.
Gosh I rarely write reviews this long anymore. But I can't finish this review without mentioning that carriage ride. That carriage ride was everything and I am SO freaking happy that my boys found happiness.
OH OH OH and I love how Clare worked in why the family tree on the inside jacket is so messed up. I laughed every time that was brought up.
