Attempt 3 - March 2024: Read as part of assigned reading for the Open Yale Course - ENGL 291: The American Novel Since 1945 / Amy Hungerford
Making another run at this one, this time framed within the reading list of a class. . . .we'll see how I do. . . . | Read to the very end. It's a murder mystery, with a narrator who enjoys the power he wields in shocking readers. . .this very unreliable narrator manipulates the readers who make it through to the very last word. Still not my cuppa. And this IS my last run at this particular book.

Attempt 2 - 2019: I've experienced this creep and persons of this stripe, complete with self-justifications and damaging baggage. Time with the fictional person is no more necessary than time with the real ones.
Attempt 1 - 2000: Art is art no matter where you find it, or what it is made of. Still, I'll spend more time with a marble David than one made of s*t.
