Clapton: The Autobiography

While never a fan of Clapton I still found the book interesting enough to read to the end. But the endless tales of wealthy excess and drugs alcohol sex on the road and utter faithlessness to the women he knew really wore thin and tiresome to read about.
All the tour dates and business relationships were useless info. for me. Was glad to be done reading about his life of excess and women chasing. He even went after George Harrison's wife for God's sake! Rock widows are everywhere in this rather depressing read.
Never a mention of any religious conviction much less being of any faith whatsoever. Comes off as a true hedonist. It's a wonder he ever got married at all in a church. In the end of his life he got his act together and did alright but the trip there was just empty stories of endless flights here and there with hundreds of tour dates and romantic flings. Surprised I ever got through this book.
