I was so excited to read this book, I’m sad it was a hard read for me. I have admired Michelle and it surprised me how I didn’t connect with her at different times throughout this book. She spoke about so many of her worries throughout her relationship with her husband, being a mom, and being a First Lady that she honestly started to stress me out. I just wish it wasn’t speaking so much about her fears, it’s seemed to be never ending and I started to loose interest.
All was not lost though, I did appreciate seeing into her childhood and the beginning of her and Barack’s relationship. I still think she is an amazing woman, I just didn’t realize how much she worried. I’m more laid back so it was hard to relate to.
