Mayan starts a quest, and another, and another, and another...

He faces a difficulty, sometimes he thinks, then says “stop, Like hell, as if, no, etc then does something that is so unlikely or improbable that it surprises everyone and succeeds.

When he does anything crazy it’s brilliant, when someone else does it, like Stacy, they are weak and silly.

He might debate by saying on the one hand this, but on the other hand that.

The plot spirals into oblivion, one upping itself until it resembles the logic of a grade school playground shouting match.

The conclusion tries and fails to bring together all the loose ends, get closure, and finish on a strong note. IMO, book 6 would have been a better ending.
