This was... stupid?

I don‘t even know how to talk about this. I don‘t think this is actual mystery thriller, it is just a romance novel with a slightly different plot. Sadly, nothing about this book, particularly impressed me or intrigue me.

Personally, I do not think that this book is worth the time.

Beverly I will delete this from my to-reads as I have read another book by her that I didn't think was that great. Thanks for the info ALet!

Martina I agree

Akira Amasawa This was such a downer. I had high hopes from Verity and colleen but wow I'm jus so done with this nonsense of a book. There's few creepy scenes going on so I liked that part but apart from that, it felt like a 14year old wrote something under the pretext of thriller which was actually romance and the thriller was jus a sub plot. I hate it so much I want my precious time back 😢. Okay so this book was really like based on wtfuckery, lowen being a suspense thriller writer herself doesn't kuch question if this so called autobiography is really what it looks like? I mean wtf, verity is a well known author, you think she'll jus use such simplistic language and serve you everything on a platter, Eh? So our heroine assumes this manuscript is real and starts following through it. Okay I get it you are attracted to her husband but use you damn brain and shake it for once, she's still ill and you are planning on fucking her husband like wtf? You don't feel any guilt? A sane writer would get the hell outta there the instance they find themselves pulled to someone who's out of reach especially the lady is this famous writer and she's bedridden. Where your morals girl? So yea she follows through the story which verity painted for her and then what you kill her? How come? No matter how angry or whatever you feeling how you jus let him kill her like that? You got the manuscript right call the police show them, let the law take actions against whatever shit she's done. You call verity a monster for killing and plotting everything, what about you? How can you kill someone and call yourself normal without turning yourself up to the cops? And then the later we get at the end. So what she does is she eats it?? Wtf? At least try to be more reasonable and mature, hand it the letter and wait for your judgement. But no, she will keep on living with it. I was partly hoping for Jeremy to be the psycho at the end. I mean our lowen doesn't even suspect him except for the beginning but that's it? How can a man be so harmless in your eyes jus cz you are attracted to him? Wow I'm so done with this shit. I don't hate colleen she's my fav author ☺️but I really wanted to jus punch the living hell outta lowen and I never felt connected to any of the characters. ☺️Maybe next time if colleen brings something real good. But for now I'm jus content with her romance novels. 🤗

Mika agree

Lindsey Deitz Yea. Too unbelievable and bad attempt at soft porn 😂

Lauren I just finished it. It took me 5 months to read it. It was predictable too.

Redding 100% agree.

Sam I agree. My book group came up with much better endings than this ending. Feels like it was made for romance lovers with a little bit of a mystery to it. But mostly sex.

Rebecca I HATED this book and agree with what you had to say about it.

Adele Romkee Jenks I still don’t know what I read or how it has received such praise. It was drivel.

Anu June I hate this book so much, my god what a bunch of bullshit

message 13: by Zach (new) - rated it 1 star

Zach Braithwaire I’m glad other people think this way. It was nice on the plane to read but honestly it’s the worst book I’ve ever read. I still want to suck Jeremy’s dick though.

Sue Barr TOTALLY AGREE. PLOT WAS JUST CHEESY. NOT GOOD WRITING AT ALL. FINALLY GAVE UP AFTER PG 150.

the elala i literally typed this book as romane until i wanted to start reading and saw it says "thriller" i felt stupid. i started reading and i understood this is barley a book. gosh im chapter 15 i just wanna know how dumb can the ending be. i just hope verity kill them all so i can be happy.

Liana It was very predictable, but still suspenseful

Karen Thank you Alet. I thought I was being harsh with my 3 stars. I think CoHo has become overrated these days. This was a terrible book. Thank you for your very honest review! :)

Michelle Small I also thought this sucked lol

Tejasvi R.A. Agreed!

Paige Adams I totally agree. It was way too overhyped. I wanted to love it, but it’s just kinda weird and not that great.

Ana Perera I read it because of all the fuss about it. I wasted my time. Predictable and inane.
