It feels a little weird to read this as someone who already went to prom (with friends, had a BLAST, never bothered trying to find a date) and it got a little annoying how so many of the stories were about female main characters who weren't popular to get prom dates but were desperate to do so. Some of the stories went over my head, and some were downright unbearable and made no sense (See Primate the Prom about human-gorilla love, In Vodka Veritas in which drinks are spiked and the main characters kiss everyone and there is some naked stuff happening, and Geechee Girls Dancin', 1955 which had such a whack writing style I don't even know what it was about.)
Still, there were some I did enjoy:
Three Fates by Aimee Friedman: probably my favorite in the anthology—it was hilarious though I didn't care much for the ship
The Backup Date by Leslie Margolis: loved it for the reveal and the cliche, but honestly it was just okay
The Great American Morp by John Green: refreshing main character and plot
