The Plea

This was my second foray into the wacky world of Eddie Flynn, former grifter, present-day lawyer and the guy most likely to get into a legal pickle. Eddie isn’t looking for trouble especially after his last entanglement with some ruthless Mafioso, but trouble finds him. Maybe it’s his background that keeps placing him in the middle of cases involving dodgy characters and devious lawmen, but this one ups the ante on all counts. While I would have liked a little more courtroom drama, it was also a more layered plot on balance. This was another fast-moving read that I devoured quickly.
For those who started with Cavanagh’s most recent installment, the fourth in the series, may I suggest you go back to the beginning? You won’t be disappointed.
