This one was definitely not as good as the first book. I was instantly thrown by L.J. Smith opting to use the same descriptive phrases verbatim for the characters at the very start. Its normally 50/50 when a sequel starts with a summary of the first book but ripping entire sentences is definitely cheating.

The game wasn't as good this time and I felt like it took a really long time to get going. And some of Julian's scenes this time made me really uncomfortable. Demanding kisses as payment for clues so he doesn't murder Jenny's friends might have flown in the nineties, but not today Mister.

I ended it definitely looking forward to Book Three.
