I was so surprised by this book. I really didn’t think I would like it, but I kept seeing it reviewed with 4 and 5 stars by my friends, so I had to check it out. I'm so happy I did. What a treasure. This is a sweet (and at times sad) story that I won’t even begin to describe, so as not to give anything away. Just know that it's not your usual fairy tale story (and not about romance). It's somehow both light and heavy, addressing issues that need to be addressed (even though it's almost 2020, because apparently some people still don't think all humans are equal and have the right to be who they are).
The ending is superb and everything I wanted for the characters. So cute. Although this book wasn’t my usual style, I really enjoyed it. It’s an important story for everyone, and of course for the LGBTQ community. Beautifully illustrated, enchanting story, relatable characters.
