My favorite book of 2019.

Elon Musk is a visionary, an innovator unlike anyone I know of who's alive now. This book is extensively researched, and written in a way that anyone can understand. Yes, even the tech and science related bits. Musk sees so far beyond many that it's obvious we need to listen to his ideas, even if they seem out there. Read it and you will learn, for one thing, why almost all businesses who make so called state of the art things really don't.

Full disclosure. My connection to Musk comes from his mother. Maye Musk and I worked in the same profession, dietetics, for decades. I've met her a couple of times, and the apple does not fall far from the tree. She is an innovator in her own right, the first registered dietitian I can remember who set up a successful private practice. She's now in an even more successful encore career as a model/spokesperson. Someone needs to write her story, too.

We are fortunate to live in the Elon Musk era. This book presents his remarkable life, warts and all. Highly recommended.
