I appreciate how well the author did at tackling such a touchy subject, especially with teenagers. There were times when I thought the writing was beautiful and other times it was just ok which sort of kept pulling me in and out of the story. The dynamic between our two main characters was done well and quite interesting. However, overall, I feel that it could’ve been better. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it. There was potential to be so much more and I don’t think it quite reached it. I enjoyed the tension near the end of the book, but hated how abruptly it ended.
