Now we are talking. This is a great story back to Gorey form. A family can’t stand their daughter, who looks funny and creative by the way, and she can’t stand that feeling of being despised anymore. She throws herself in the sea where she meets a giant sea creature who protects her and slowly takes care of her family. That bathtub can be a killer sometimes.

This story amused me so. I love the sea creature and the wicked family almost deserved it’s fate. Who knows what really lies in the sea. It was epic.

I did read this to the nephew and he found it delightful and amusing. He loved Theoda at the end wearing a line of pearls around her head riding the sea monster at the end. He gave this 4 stars too.
