What a ride this book was! The author specifically asks for no spoilers so I'm going to do my very best here. This isn't a love story. No... this is a story about vengeance, revenge and hate. I found Melissa to be very much like Lana Meyers in The Risk. Something very devastating happened to a young Melissa and her childhood sweetheart, Jarrod. That something was Edward. I will tell you this is about broken love and loss. The twists are shocking and slap you in the face. I could NOT put this book down and as every characters secrets come out and how they all end up, I truly feel the only victim in this story was Bounty.
This book is meant for adults and is a page turner. I did feel the ending and fate of the worst victim of all was rushed. I expected more blood and torture for that scene. However, I don't think this is enough for a lesser rating. After all, the characters and the jagged edge storyline are outstanding.

Buy the book and read it. It's worth it. It's a keeper for my shelf.

“Jarrod lies on the floor. It takes me a while to process the fact that his lips are locked with another man’s. That the other man, Edward, is fucking my husband up his backside.”

“Oh, stop playing the victim, it’s getting old,â€ I snap. ‘You’re transgender. Get in groups, deal with it. There are plenty of people with problems to face. I’m the mother of a dead baby. We all have masks to put on, faces to portray to the outside world. You’ve made yourself Lynne. Is she a pathetic victim who blames everyone else for things that result from her own actions? Because that’s how it seems. Exactly the same as Jarrod, and Inez before her. Anyway, I couldn’t give a fuck what you are. I didn’t want you dead, but I know I don’t want to see you ever again.”
