This was my most anticipated release of this year, but it didn't meet my expectations. However, it could just be the circumstances around the time that I read it that lead to my disinterest. I could only read small portions at a time, whereas I think this is a book that needs to be read in 1 or 2 sittings.
The last fourth of the book was a lot better than the rest of it, but I found it predictable and Carly was a flimsy character. A lot of the same lines and sentiments about Fell were repeated throughout the book, and by the end, I was sick of it.
I wouldn't say I hated the book, but it definitely disappointed me. Maybe when I have more time to read, I'll try this author again.
