I want to preface by saying that this was one of my most anticipated reads of 2019. Hype didn't make me pick this up, the fact that Tarryn Fisher's name was on the front cover had me sold.

Boy oh boy was this a hot mess. Are you sure this was written by Tarryn Fisher? Is this some type of candid camera moment where you get punked?

The first third was good, I thought this book would take me two days max to read. However this 300 page book took me two weeks! Two weeks! I stuck through because I was hoping it was suffering from a weird dip in the story line and then surprise me with a brilliant plot twist. This was one of the worst and disappointing plot twists (if you can even call it that) I have ever read.

I am truly gutted that this didn't live up to the Tarryn Fisher hype. I am not giving up however and I hope to enjoy whatever Tarryn writes next.
