it was ok

Let me not even go into the negative effects of religiously following every point in the book, it is destructive and ultimately damaging to you and relationships

A problem I had with the book is that the entire book can be an article not more than 20pages. Most of the sub-chapters can be explained in not more than three paragraphs and many of them much less than that. Dale Carnegie was unnecessarily prolonging the chapters with a lot of repetitions and unnecessary stories (of which some don’t even back up His points). You get bored halfway through a sub-chapter because from thereon its repetitive.

A great book to psychologically make you think you are winning a battle, while you are actually losing the war.

Okay let me talk a little about it (reference to my first paragraph). The principles here is basically manipulating yourself and people in a way that kills the reason most people want friends. I’m guessing most people want friends to share problems, joy, lessons, events etc. with. But this book is practically telling you to be a dummy, robot who pretends to like everything and never argues, have zero contradicting opinions, etc. These things can win you people in the short term, but eventually leave you sad going on. Thanks for reading my review
