i'm trying to think about how exactly i feel about this book. do i believe all of what bell hooks' is presenting here is the key to liberate Black men (using this term loosely)? not necessarily. however, do i believe hooks wants more for Black men? to learn how to exist and function in their existence as men without patriarchy, sexism, capitalism, and stoicism - absolutely. hooks is passionately able to get across that idea.
