This is a great kind of odd. This is what I love about Edward. A random woman is walking by a piece of ground and hears something. A plant sticks its head above ground. The next few days she walks by it and sees it grow. It’s taller than her when she picks the unknown vegetable and takes it home. No one has seen it before and she simply cooks this thing up and eats it for a meal. It was yummy and she feels it all the way in her toes.

SPoiler for the twist.

She thens goes to the same place and digs a deep hole, deep enough to stand upright in. The dirt then begins to slide in and buries her. They put up a headstone and then last frame we see a plant growing out of the ground.

I simply adore this story. It’s odd and strangely circle of life like. What comes around goes around. I love it when Gorey is on his game.
