Unpopular opinion, but I didn't enjoy this book. I went into it expecting a hard sci-fi, and the book instead turned its focus to tragedy, drama, and relationships. It's one of those cases where my idea of the book and the book itself were different, which ruined my enjoyment. The sci-fi was definitely there, but it didn't feel like the focus of the book.
