barf. i hate when authors cast their young protagonists as classics-reading unintentional hipsters. I just want to call bullshit.

Mona Refreshing that someone else found this indigestable. Although I did enjoy Nakata's character as well as the truck driver who befriends him. Everything about the story related to Kafka annoyed and revolted me. Incest especially.

Mia Jacob - I applaud you. Murakami is treated like a god and alot of his stuff is truly amazing... but i've read one or two that sucked! Wind up bird chronicle is my fave.
