Read 2 times. Last read April 25, 2020.
Left a comment in Defy Me calling these three additional books, strangers. And they truly were. I wasn’t sure whether I was in the right headspace to read it or it was just fully my impulse to “get it over with as I read the hopefully true last book of the series. But my opinion from last time didn’t change, the story felt unfamiliar. There was nothing that I felt remarkable or memorable & for most parts Juliette on and off personalities just gave me some major emotional whiplash. While Warner’s character regressed, almost losing his character development. Kenji narrating while Juliette/Ella (whatever) was clearly had issues of her own didn’t make anything redeemable. Overall, I found these three books greedy wish with bad consequences. It was really best to let sleeping dogs lie.
