"A problem I had with the book on my first pass: it's incredibly frustrating every time the Kaladin storyline switches back to Shallan. What's happening with Kaladin becomes much more driving, and having the breaks constantly put on just as momentum seems to pick up is disappointing. I *think* that's what hampers my enjoyment of Shallan, who is otherwise a character I really like."
