did not like it

Heads up, author is a TERF.
Trans people, intersex people, non binary people - they all exist and should be included in research on the gender data gap. If the author is going to focus primarily and exclusively on the gender data gap as it applies to cis women, at least state it clearly and make some kind of excuse for why you don’t include other valid experiences.

Nanna I haven’t read this book but I’m going to, I half expected to find a review like this here unfortunately. Thank you for the warning!

Richard James Very disappointing. Have you seen all this?!

Viktoria you’re so fucking ignorant

FluffyEndercat Why should she? This book was about Sexisem against women, 50 Percent of the population, not a minority who make out about 2 Percent, why should she include them, if a study is made about sexisem, it’s not about trans or non binary people, so why mention them, if I writ a book about women , why should I include non Binary people, if I don’t include men?

Lynzee Lee Or what if people were allowed to write about one issue at a time? Yes data should absolutely be intersectional but this book is about just one intersection. There are books that focus on race. There are books that focus on trans women. (Definitely not enough of course). But I see this book as a good start to a much larger issue.

Marty It's almost like this book is about "invisible WOMEN" and not invisible non-men or invisible enby etc. Women really can't have anything without trans and enby people trying to invade the spotlight huh? Imagine a POC writing a colour about race discrimination against POC in white society, only for Asians to flood the reviews moaning ab being erased. Write your own book.

Lula Yikes, commenters on your review and your review itself truly make me never want to pick this book up.
Sorry you were dog piled on for something very important to share. People should read Whipping girl by Julia Serano if they want to understand why it is so deeply important to have an intersectional approach to feminism.

appeltaartisranzig Yikes, this book is about the biological REALITY of guess what: WOMEN! also people with a DSD are still either male or female. xx

Lucas47 Actually Becca I think YOU’RE a terf. You only mentioned trans, NB, and intersex people, but failed to mention the other genders such as gender fluid, Demigender, existigender, Omnigender, and all of the others! If you’re going to comment on how only those three other genders need to be included, then you’re disregarding all of the others because if you don’t mention them then they clearly don’t matter to you.
Do you see how stupid that sounds you absolute undercooked tomatoe?
