This is a tough one to rate. It’s at best a 3.5 on my genre horror/thriller scale. Atmospheric but kind of clumsy in execution. I did like the heroine and the cover is gorgeous.

I haven't read but I am intrigued and yes it is a gorgeous cover!
I was hoping for something more culturally mexican but there were so many references to England it really should have been called English Gothic with hints of a Mexican backdrop
