who'd have thought - I said this wouldn't get to me until Christmas, I was on a long reservation list - the library has come up trumps again. (Even though my local branch has closed down for roof repairs and I had to walk to the nearest branch.)

well it’s been a while since I read this and there are many great reviews here which I can only agree with (eg Karen’s and Mike’s), I remember it as a real page turner which defied your expectations and was a lot of fun, if sometimes implausible (in the second half). Also had a lot to say on sexual politics. Many were upset by the open ending, but I felt it was just right.
