It's nothing short of amazing how years can change one's opinion. Even though I have long past the point of where I consumed young adult novels like I'm running out of books to read, the decision to pick this up remained pretty easy (thought it took me months to finish, as I was barely holding on). I knew I had to read this despite the interest for this kind of book has long gone. So I wasn't completely objective of my experience or how I felt reading the story narrated in Edward's POV. But this one I have to say, in a way, Edward himself ruined the fantasy of this mysterious persona that Bella painted him as (in her POV). For someone who was more than century old, he could be little more teen-like and very human?—whether that was deliberate or not, it didn't bother me. Reaching the end was the only goal, learning something new of the same story was just an added bonus.
