Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief

The first 2/3 of this book was downright painful and the last 1/3 was barely better. I had to force myself to finish it as I was convinced it just HAD to get better. On and on and on about the most boring details, served up with the most boring story telling. I get that at it's heart it's a history book and some of it is just going to be facts, but for Hubbard's sake, this is Scientology we're talking about! I was expecting some grit, some drama, some jaw dropping details! I got a snore. Save yourself 20+ hours of the most banal, unmemorable reading of your life and just read the Time article from 1991... it's much juicier and somehow left me feeling more informed than the 350 page book.
