I've read this before, and admit, it usually falls in my esteem below Persuasion, Pride and Predjudice and Sense and Sensibility, but I consider equal to the latter 2.
I won't go into the plot, as it's been done brilliantly by everyone else. I will just say that there is a big difference reading it as I did the first time and listening to the audio by Juliet Stevenson.
I never noticed before that there was a potential murder in this book, never explicity said, but never denied. Mrs. Churchill (Frank's aunt) seemed to be one of those anxious hypochondriacs that are always sick, but never enough for a diagnosis or to be on their death bed. When the lady sucuumbs in such a hasty way and the world is made right--I read between the lines this time, not sure if Austen intended this to be , but it was clever and worthy of an ID discovery show.
