Warning - I’m feeling quite emotional, having finished this TREASURE of a book. For any reader new to author Matt Haig, he nearly ended his life twenty years ago, and therefore has substantial insight on anxiety, depression and suicide ideation.

The Midnight Library is set in that unknown place described as a thin, grey veil between life and death. Whether or not you subscribe to quantum mechanics theory about multiple universes, it’s an absolutely intriguing concept to explore, and Mr. Haig turns our “stinkin thinkin’ on its head to shake us out of it.
Scottish author Kate Molloy calls this beautiful story ‘comforting, illuminating, and inspirational. I couldn’t agree more.

Did you know that a majority of suicide attempt survivors state that in the seconds after their attempt, they regretted their decision to die? To quote Mr. Haig, life sometimes gives you a whole new perspective by waiting around long enough for you to see it. He reminds us that our life has ‘multifarious possibilities. But first, we must STAY.

I urge you to read this book if you have struggled with the decision to stay alive.
I urge you to read this book if you have been the safe place for someone fighting depression and suicide ideation.
I urge you to read this book if you are discouraged about the value and impact of your life in a world of 7 billion souls.
I urge you to read this book if you have wasted this precious life regretting choices you made that cannot be undone.
I urge you to read this book if you are practicing the art of daily gratitude.
I urge you to read this book if you enjoy authors who can write in a way that speaks to your deepest feelings.
I urge you to read this book.
