I seriously - I hated this book. The writing was formulaic and predictable, and really kind of infuriating. One of the few books that I've literally thrown across the room in disgust.

I'm also annoyed with fans of the book telling me that I just don't "get" what he was doing, that it is/is not REAL, whatever. IT IS A BADLY WRITTEN BOOK. And as such, I didn't bother finishing it. In fact, it sat in the corner of my room for a week, right where I'd thrown it.
