i don't get the hype because this book was incredibly slow, but the story intrigued me enough to finish it. His writing style was okay, larssen got a bit long winded in descriptions, but otherwise, the pieces fit and he tied the mystery up very well. Unfortunately, I had no desire to read the other two books that followed primarily because his writing isn't up the pace I prefer.
