Lucian Morelli was a god.
An evil god.
Lucian Morelli is the epitome of an anti hero, he's ruthless, depraved and cold-blooded killer. From the first time he sees Elaine Constantine he become obsessed and vowed to kill her. He wants her blood, body and soul for him to destroy. His little blonde dolly. And as for Elaine she's very scarred and had a dark past, that leads her to addiction and destructive life. On the outside you can see the glitz life of being a Constantine but on the inside she's dying in pain.
"She was a whirlpool of chaos, flashing colors melding as one. A mess of them, splashing and clashing, so consumed by their own momentum that I didn’t stand a chance of understanding the taste."
Lucien and Elaine are very much doomed from the get-go. Its basically Romeo & Juliet but encase deeply in a dark morally corrupted world.
As always, Jade West writing style & characterization is well binding. This book is a credo. Extremely recommended!
