Passable enough steampunk fiction, though not nearly as good as the Boing Boing army would have you believe. It reads like an adventure module for a steampunk RPG. I find that to its detriment, but I imagine others will think it's a plus. Boneshaker's biggest problem is that it can't decide what it is. Is it a steampunk novel? A zombie story? An alternate history? A post-apocalypse tale? Unfortunately, it's a little bit of all of them and, as a result, not really any of them.
