it was amazing
Read 4 times. Last read October 15, 2020 to November 6, 2020.

The Stand is my favorite book of all time.

This was my third time through it and my opinion hasn't changed one bit. I am in awe of this creation.

Full review to come...stay tuned!!!

Let's be real though, if that ever actually happens, it's just going to be me swooning for roughly nineteen paragraphs. Don't hold your breath.

Hi friends. Hello.
I am listening to the audiobook, but tracking my progress in my Uncut Hardcover from 1990. When I have thoughts I will post them guessing my percentage along, but I will also put the page number in the hard copy.
This probably matters to literally no one but myself, I just wanted to memorialize my goals with this reread.
Thank you and good morning, afternoon, or night."

I love how King narrates the spread of the virus from the patient zero outward. It's horrifying to think about and proves once again, now is the perfect time to read The Stand!"

Douglas Gibson A classic!

megs_bookrack Douglas wrote: "A classic!"My favorite! It's been 19-years since I read it last. Proving, once again, that all things serve the beam. ;)

Same! I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time!

Selena ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☁︎ I'd love to know why you love it. I haven't read it yet.

It's the ultimate showdown of good versus evil. I love the post-apocalyptic elements, seeing how different people would react and move forward from the end of our society as we know it. The building; watching different characters either go to the side of good or the side of evil. I just think it is so well constructed. You get to the end and are like, holy shit.

Oh also, in the beginning portion, watching how the cause of society's demise spread. That part is amazing.
