This book is definitely unique…I’ll give it that. It’s a smidge all over the place; I’d best describe it as one of those books that you’re so confused you keep reading. There’re several twists, some pretty damn shocking, and some I saw coming. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it deals with revenge and sexual orientation, and pretty much everyone sucks, so if you’re sensitive to either, or like a “good guy�� in your reads�� I’d steer clear. For me, I had to DNF because it has the ONE thing that is an absolute no-go hard limit for me. (view spoiler)[ She kills/poisons their family dog on purpose just to hurt them. (hide spoiler)] I see why she justified doing it, but I knew I wouldn't get over it, and would never sympathize with her, so I stopped. I’d rather DNF a book than give it a 1* because I don’t like something, or it has content I'm not comfortable with. That’s just how I roll. 😁
