This is my first book by Colleen Hoover. Since the book first came out a couple of years ago, it seems like I've seen it everywhere. I try to stay away from overly hyped books because if I don't like them, I end up disappointed. I will say after finally finishing Verity, not only did it live up to all the hype but it exceed all of my expectations.

Once I started reading, I absolutely could not put it down. I was dying to know what would happen next to Lowen and to Verity. I speed read this book in one night. When finished, I went back and read all of my highlighted notes and reread several chapters. In my opinion, this is an absolutely perfect thriller novel. Verity has everything a good thriller novel should be.

This will definitely not be my last book by Colleen Hoover. When I picked up Verity, I also picked up a copy of Layla(which I am dying to read). I definitely understand why Colleen Hoover has such a diehard fan base! There are some books that are just beyond 5 star reads, and Verity is one of these!
