This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books! Adrienne Rizzo met her father for the first time as a young child when he broke into her house and tried to kill her. He was married and had two children. Her mother was one of many women he’d slept with outside his marriage. Fortunately Adrienne’s mother fought him off. I loved the unique career of Adrienne’s mother and Adrienne being health/fitness routine designers. I especially LOVED the friend group that Adrienne developed, both in Maryland and back in New York. The way the ensemble cast worked together was such a treat to read, especially as the book progressed and they grew into adulthood with marriages and kids. Some oh so funny scenes. This had a great romantic suspense plotline to go along with it. Someone is angry about what happened years ago the night Adrienne’s biological father came to their house and they want revenge. And (to make this book even more perfect) there were really cute dogs!
