I have read the auto-ethnography by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk through the lens of leadership. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, serving as its first president from 1923 until his death in 1938. He implemented progressive reforms transforming Turkey to a modern & secular nation.

Having dwelled into various styles and principles of leadership throughout the past two decades, I regret that I haven’t read this masterpiece much earlier in my life.

MK Atatürk‘s strength lies in his highly analytical thought process, implementing wise strategies by winning essential stakeholders hearts & minds, mobilising them and multiplying leaders.
While doing so, his leadership style is quite balanced, whether in negotiations with the Allied Forces or in managing change in a multi-cultural country that was transitioning from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey.

A well of knowledge in breadth & depth, MK Atatürk demonstrates an unprecedented level of SELF-AWARENESS that makes him even more agile in his initiatives giving him a competitive edge over his enemies.

More importantly, MK Atatürk has a strong belief in his initiative and is not shy of repeatedly communicating his belief to a wide nation to win their hearts & minds.

A great example of leadership that moves mountains, if one really believes in his vision and its path to achieve the same.

I feel eternally grateful to have read this copy of MK Atatürk’s auto-ethnographic book. ❤️⭐️

Nina We visited Turkey several years ago. Loved the country as Atatürk had envisioned it. Too bad Erdogan is dismantling it. We would not go back there now.
