One of the best horror novels of all time. It starts off a bit slow, where one gets to know the characters deeply, but then the tension and terror just explodes.

I was never a fan of vampire movies, but reading Salem's Lot gives a true description of what a vampire story should be about. The way King has described the town, the people and the main characters makes it the ultimate vampire/horror story.

Highly recommend it!
