it was amazing

I fell through the cracks of this book and into London Below.

I truly and complete adore this world. I will not look at our world the exact same way as I did before reading this book. That especially counts for stations, rats and birds.

I am a fan of Neil Gaiman his writing style, it's not overly detailed but informative and from to time extremely funny and for this book, extremely unnerving once in a while. I got goosebumps a couple of times.

Furthermore I love most of the characters in this book, all in their own unique way. I will certainly be revisiting this book just to say hi to them again.

But even with the 5 stars I am giving, not everything was perfect. I guessed a couple of important plottwist about 10 pages before they happened (so not extremely predictable but still). The beginning felt a bit too slow pace at certain points. And the ending felt like I was stumbling, then falling, hitting my head which cause time to go really slow and then finding that I got at my destination but just not in a pleasant satisfying way. I would love to talk to Gaiman about it if I ever get the chance to meet him.

But most importantly the book truly felt like a true adventure into the great deep dark unknown without making me want to run away.

(and the book has barely any romance in it which I like a lot. And Gaiman writes female characters just like he would write any character. Which in my opinion is the way to go about making great (female and male and non-binary) characters! )
