This had a rough start - very slow and dull. But it unexpectedly got a lot better as it went on and I became more invested in the story and the romance. It's hard to truly compare YA dystopians like this to the masterpieces that are the Hunger Games etc, it's not on that level, but it was an enjoyable enough read. The dystopia became more complex and interesting as time went on.
