Honestly, this is one of the scariest stories I have ever read. And even being 20-25 years past any chance of being a "nymphet" to some lurking fiend, I keep catching myself smacking at invisible lecherous fingers every time my hair brushes my neck or the tag in my shirt glances my side.
I would give it 5 stars, but I had trouble with the parts of the novel where H.H. falls more into a stream of consciousness narrative. It was effective for the character and his psychological state, but it was too meandering for me at times.
