Full caveat: I read this for book club and would never choose a romance novel for myself but I was interested in trying as I love chick-flick movies.
Sadly, this book reaffirmed why I don't like romantic novels. I didn't find January to be relatable or even really all that sympathetic. I thought her publisher was unrealistically unprofessional in her correspondences and I felt the author over used a lot of imagery (smirking man smile, eyes 'cutting to' the protagonist).
Just not my cup of tea!
