The Republic

Not all of the arguments are sound, but I still love Plato's portrayal of Socrates and his elite friends.
What I love about this book (other than the fact that it's super fun to read) is that it teaches you how to think as opposed to what to think. Parts of it read as a comedy, because how can Plato criticize imitators? My brother in Christ, you literally imitated Socrates. But seriously, it is .mentioned in the book that the ideas of this society do not work in real life.
Overall, there's a reason Plato is so renowned. He's a genius, Socrates is a chad, and their ideas are fascinating and entertaining.
